General Manager

Ahmet ÖZKEN

Born in 1977 in Germany, ÖZKEN studied in Gazi University, Economics and Administration Faculty, Junior Technical College of Finance, “Customs  Management” associate degree program, then completed the Anatolian University, “Finance” graduate program and finally completed Dokuz Eylül University, Institute of Social Studies, “Foreign Trade” post-graduate program with his thesis titled “E-Customs Practices and Their Effects on Foreign Trade.” Currently he continues his Doctorate studies at the Yaşar University, Department of Business Management, in the thesis stage. The subject of his thesis is “Adaptation of the Single Window System Utilised in EU Customs to Turkey.” Having worked in the foreign trade and customs sector since 1996, ÖZKEN earned the “Customs Consultancy Permit” by successfully passing the test conducted by the Republic of Turkey, Prime Ministry Undersecretariat of Customs in 2002. As a founding member of ÖZKAN Gümrük Müşavirliği Ltd. Şti. and ÖZKEN Akademi & Danışmanlık Ltd. Şti., Mr. Özken has given Foreign Trade and Customs Regulation lectures to more than 25,000 people in 75 different provinces, including lectures at Chambers of Trade and Industry, Exporters’ Associations, Customs Consultancy and CPA preparation courses, as well as Associate Degree, Graduate Degree and Post-Graduate Degree students of the DOKUZ EYLÜL UNIVERSITY and the YAŞAR UNIVERSITY, and continues to do so. He has 7 domestically published books on Customs and Foreign Trade penned in collaboration with co-writers. Serving as an expert witness on Foreign Trade and Customs matters for the İzmir courts, ÖZKEN is also a member of many non-governmental organisations. He is married and father to two daughters.

Ayşe ÖZKEN

Born in 1981 in Aydın, Ayşe ÖZKEN completed the Dokuz Eylül University, “Industrial Engineering” graduate program and the İzmir Economy University, MBA post-graduate program.  Currently continuing her post-graduate studies in the Yaşar University, Department of Business Management, Logistics and Production Management Program, the subject of her thesis is Seaports. Starting from 2002 she worked as a “Purchasing Engineer” in “Vestel Elektronik San. Tic. A.Ş.” for 1 year, followed by 2 years in the position of “Purchasing and Material Supply Engineer” in “Teba Günkol Güneş Enerjisi ve Klima San. A.Ş.”, engaging in some efforts involving e-trade, followed by 3 years in the positions of “Purchasing and Import Expert” in the Pınar Foods Group Centre Purchasing Department of “Pınar Süt Mamulleri San. A.Ş.”

She has worked as Quantitative Methods Research Fellow at the İzmir Economy University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Business Management between 2009 and 2010. In the 2008-2009 Autumn Semester she has given “Quantitative Methods” lectures to the İzmir American College senior year students in scope of the International Business course program, and provided lectures on “Retail and Logistics Management” and “Basic Elements of Export Planning” in Yaşar University, Junior Technical College, Department of Foreign Trade and Department of Logistics.

The title of her post-graduate thesis is “Supplier Selection with ANP in Service Industries.” She has penned the article titled “Supplier Performance Evaluation in Food Sector with AHP Methodology,” and has presented her article titled “Performance Evaluation in Port Management and Analysis of İzmir Alsancak Port” in the “Production Research Symposium” organised by Sakarya University in 2013.

Currently she works as the “Strategic Planning and Project Manager” in “ÖZKEN Gümrük Müşavirliği ve Danışmanlık Ltd. Şti.”
